Ram Samocha

Ram Samocha currently works in Brighton, England, however his body of performative drawings draws on the juxtaposition between his life in Canada and time living in Israel. Samocha's drawings are created on paper and canvas--often they are the products of process-work and repetitive gesture. His materials are basic, transportable, and frequently akin to children's art supplies such as chalk or crayon. Samocha records, digitizes, animates, projects and works back into his pieces at a later date, displaying a unique cyclical approach to creation.
