Maya Bar

One of Israel's most intriguing emerging artists, Maya Bar lives in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, and creates heavily manipulated video and photographic work. Fascinated by a landscape that evolved and matured alongside her generation, she seeks to expose the "unconscious of the ordinary" by sliding seemingly normal, even generic images out of focus via multiplication to re-pattern reality into a fragmentary, kaleidoscopic visual experience.
