Yehuda Porbuchrai

Yehuda Porbuchrai has been exhibiting internationally since the late 1970s. His oeuvre is characterized by massive canvases, sometimes so large they are sewn together from multiple pieces, entirely covered in layers of dripped, thrown and smudged black and white paint, which is layered to create a tachist aesthetic. Through this method he obscures his subject matter to the point where it is nearly incidental, yet is monumental in its ability to withstand the blizzard of his mark-making.
